1. What you get when you download
Spending one credit on a cover grants you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that cover for your own musical projects. The license is "perpetual" — meaning it does not expire even if you cancel your subscription.
Alongside the visual files (PSD, PNG, Canva link, Figma file) we also include an AI prompt when available. The AI prompt is licensed under the same terms as the cover.
2. Permitted uses
- Use as cover art on any music release on streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Bandcamp, Tidal, SoundCloud, etc.)
- Use in music videos, lyric videos, and promotional video content for your release
- Use on social media posts, stories, reels, TikToks and other content tied to the release
- Use on physical and digital merch accompanying the release — t-shirts, hoodies, posters, stickers, phone cases, digital wallpapers
- Use on live event materials (concert posters, tour merch) tied to the artist project
- Adapt, crop, re-color, remix and edit the file to fit your brand
3. Not permitted
- Resale as a template or stock asset. You cannot upload our files to Envato, Creative Market, Gumroad, Canva marketplace or any similar platform, whether for sale or for free.
- Use outside the music context — for example, as cover art for a podcast, book, app, or any product unrelated to your music release. If you need a broader use case, contact us for a custom license.
- Trademark registration. You cannot register the cover — or any element of it — as a trademark in any jurisdiction.
- Defamatory, discriminatory or illegal use. Covers cannot be used in content that violates local law, promotes hate, discrimination, or infringes third-party rights.
- Claiming authorship of the artwork itself. You own the release — the designer owns the artwork and licenses it to you.
4. Duration and territory
The license is perpetual (no time limit) and worldwide(no territorial limit). Once you've downloaded a cover while subscribed, the permitted uses apply forever.
5. What happens if you cancel
Cancellation affects your access to the library and remaining credits — not your license on previously downloaded covers. Covers you downloaded remain yours to use forever, under the terms of this license.
6. AI prompts included
When a cover ships with an AI prompt, you can use that prompt in ChatGPT, Midjourney, Gemini, Stable Diffusion or any other AI model to generate variants for your release. Note that AI-generated outputs may not be copyrightable under current US and EU law — use them as inspiration and final composition, not as your registered artwork.
7. Attribution
Attribution is not required, but very much appreciated. If you tag us (@grafiksbox) when you post your release, we often share it with our audience.
8. Distributors and platforms
Our covers are accepted on all major distribution platforms: DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, UnitedMasters, Symphonic, Amuse, Ditto. We've been serving artists since 2019 and our templates have never triggered a takedown or licensing dispute on the platforms themselves.
If a distributor questions a cover's origin, you can forward them your purchase receipt and, if needed, request a written confirmation of your license at team@grafiksbox.com.
9. Licensing disputes
Because the license is non-exclusive, another artist may legitimately download and use the same cover for their own release. Your exclusive rights are limited to your release, on the platforms where you distributed it. In the rare event of a conflict, the earlier release typically prevails under platform dispute rules — but we always recommend putting a small visual twist on every template (new title, color shift, model swap) to reduce overlap.
